On 15 April 2015, I finally met up with my poly friends for the first time during our holiday before school starts! It was also the day I finally got my new phone after years, my old phone had problems like memory low. I am a apple (iphone) user so for a change I decided to go for samsung (android) to see the difference. It was quite a headache when I first received it as it was really different from what I originally had. Due to the impromptu purchasing of phone in the morning, I could not make it for Korean BBQ (SAVE MONEY!!) so I went to join my friends for Teo Heng only instead, it is a karaoke place. Instead of singing for the first part of the session, we or me kept getting distracted by my new phone. As they wanted to have a touch of it and me trying to explore its functions.
For most of the time, we talked instead of sing as we had a lot to catch up on since we haven't been seeing one another for quite long but there isn't any much juicy news just things like them being in camp trainings or going overseas during holiday. We had a 3 hour session in the LARGE room and it was big though YDS! After that we went to KFC to had some yogurt and this time round I tried passion fruit flavour and had some toppings for it. Previously, I thought adding toppings would have extra charges so I always go for just the yogurt itself. So we chit chatted as usual for awhile and went to Daiso for a walk and some of us got a nice box for ourselves to put our stuffs! As the box was nicely decorated with cursive words.
There's lack of signs to direct you to the location so we followed where our instincts brought us to and YEAP we were right! The place was rather ulu and the pavement was uneven and not properly paved so it's sort of like a nature let loose place. I will show some pictures so you can get a clearer idea of what I am saying.
There were lots of climbing, up the slopes, down the slopes, wooden staircase up and down and many more obstacles like rocks, pebbles and monkeys (there were many of them appearing along our way) on the ground. Making it harder to walk and you should constantly looked at the ground to keep your balance in case there was this random huge block of rock protruding from the ground that intercepts with your way. Best part of the trip were us doing cheers to liven up the long journey so that it was not so bored to merely walked through the entire thing in silence. Sharing the cheers we learnt from camps and singing random songs like kiddo songs. There was only one toilet area after travelling a long distance and you would also passed by a majestic looking place in which they said looks like hunger games. Another part was, randomly stopping at some location to take nice photos (we spam, like having photo shoot) and asking strangers for help to take group photos for us. So far all the people we asked were quite kind. One group, which we assumed to be foreigners, even requested to take a group photo with us with my camera and their phone.
Let me share with you some of the epic things that happens as our journey continues. As I looked up towards the sky I saw a monkey holding a yellow water bottle filled with water sitting on the branch. I was like "What is it doing with the bottle up there?" My friend warned me by saying," Later it drop down ah!" Seeking the advice, I picked up my pace and swiftly passed by the danger zone (LOL sounds like composition). Upon seeing the first monkey, Pearl let out a slight shriek and the initially leading in the front her, went to take cover of the person behind her to avoid the monkey. AND the cool me just walked passed it bravely! I could sensed or see from its eyes that it was also scare of us, so all of us were scare of one another, so I guessed it wouldn't attack me or something.
After quite awhile, we finally reached the Treetop Walk's bridge which we had been waiting to see! It was quite a distance to walk before eventually reaching. It was a one way bridge so once you enter there's no returning back and you would just have to use the exit on the other side. It was the bridge I saw people taking photos with and was rather excited to see the actual thing for myself. We could only pause for a while as there were other people behind us who needed to pass by too as the bridge was narrow and can only fit one person in a line. On our way out, it started to rain so we miserably squeezed under two umbrellas that we had. Funny ah, when I got bring never rain and when I did not it rained. So we chiong for a nearby shelter with a sign saying, " No trespassing ", who cares so much when there was not a soul in sight and it was raining heavily. We turned out to be inside of Singapore Island Country Club and it was all high class inside. There were people playing golf and buffet ongoing too!! It was my first time seeing people playing golf.
Next, we went to replenished our hungry stomach after a tiring walk. We had a fulfilling meal at Saizeriya for a reasonable price at HomeTeamNS. The glorious food ahhhhh, thinking about it I want to have some again! Next next, we had a impromptu decision to play Laser Quest WOOO!!! At first I was against the idea due to my previously bad experience of it. BUT this time round was a comeback for me, I GOT SECOND PLACE!!! Although it was just 10 minutes inside, the tension was high as you needed to watched your back and everywhere around you in the dark to prevent getting shot. Heng it was a team game!! It was 3 VS 3 and occasionally we would face off so we head on attack haha! The feeling was really shiok when you shoot them from behind without them knowing.
Our last stop was to have some ice cream at Val's workplace! We stayed there till almost 9 pm to decide on the photos we should upload and chit chatted. It was a fun day!
